Ohioan admits 27 counts, including child rape

DAYTON, Ohio – An Ohio man has pleaded guilty to charges of raping a boy authorities say was brought to the man’s home by the boy’s adoptive father, who was also convicted of raping the boy.

The Montgomery County prosecutor’s office said Friday that 32-year-old Patrick Rieder pleaded guilty to 27 total counts including rape of a child under 13 and 19 counts of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor.

The prosecutor says Rieder was sentenced to 25 years to life and labeled a sex offender.

The prosecutor said the adoptive father brought the boy to Rieder’s Dayton home where both men raped the child.

The adoptive father has pleaded guilty to child rape in Miami and Montgomery counties.

The Associated Press isn’t naming the father to protect the child’s identity.
