30-year sentence for online child porn Cache

INDIANAPOLIS – A Baltimore man who helped run an online bulletin board where hundreds of child pornographers from around the world shared images and videos has been sentenced to 30 years in prison following a trial in Indianapolis.

A judge sentenced 57-year-old Roger Loughry Sr. Friday on charges of conspiring to advertise and distribute child pornography, as well as actually advertising and distributing it. Loughry was convicted on all charges against him after a four-day jury trial in U.S. District Court.

Prosecutors say Loughry was a co-administrator of the site known as the Cache and one of the international online ring’s five top-ranking members.

Loughry was convicted on the same charges in 2010, but his conviction was overturned on appeal due to the admission of evidence that wasn’t used on the website.
