Death of woman, 87, tied to crash

– An 87-year-old Roanoke woman died Tuesday from injuries she suffered in a car crash Jan. 9, the Allen County Coroner’s Office said.

Phyllis M. Kreigh was injured in a crash at Clinton and Main streets. She died this week of respiratory failure as a result of the crash, the coroner’s office said.

Her death has been ruled the fourth traffic fatality for Fort Wayne and Allen County this year. Additional information about the crash wasn’t available Thursday.

According to her obituary, Kreigh was born in 1926 in Fort Wayne.

She worked as a nurse at Ear Nose & Throat Associates and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Ossian.

She was married to her husband, Jack, for 70 years and had two daughters – Roxie Bole and Sue Ehinger, both of Roanoke.

A funeral service is at 11 a.m. today at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 W. Mill St., Ossian, with visitation one hour prior.
