SYRACUSE, Ind. – A northern Indiana lake resort that was once a religious retreat for a century has reopened to visitors after being shut down five years ago.Monday

Isolated thunderstorms possible today

FORT WAYNE – The National Weather Service in northern Indiana says the region might have some isolated thunderstorms Monday afternoon.None are expected to be severe.Monday

FORT WAYNE – Park officials warn that ice on the skating ponds at Lakeside, East Swinney, Franke and Ivan Lebamoff Reservoir parks is only about an inch thick and won’t hold the weight of skaters, so they remain closed through the weekend.

While the ponds remain unsafe for skating, red lights and flags will be displayed at the sites.
