Plumlee recalled; Harangody honored

The Pacers announced Friday that rookie center Miles Plumlee was recalled from the Mad Ants of the NBA D-League.

Harangody honored

Mad Ants forward Luke Harangody was named NBA Development League Player of the Month for games played during January. The honor is the first of Harangody’s career.

Harangody, a 6-foot-8 forward out of Notre Dame, led the Mad Ants to an 8-4 record during January, averaging 21.5 points and 13 rebounds per game. He recorded 10 double-doubles during the month and scored 20-plus points in six games, including a season-high 31 points on Jan. 19 against the Los Angeles D-Fenders.

Since joining the Mad Ants on Dec. 28, Harangody has led the team to a 10-4 record, averaging 21.4 points and 13.4 rebounds and recording a double-double in every game but one. He broke a franchise record for defensive rebounds during his first game as a Mad Ant on Dec. 28 against the Texas Legends. Harangody was named to the 2013 NBA D-League Showcase First Team after averaging 22.5 points and 14 rebounds in the team’s two showcase wins, and was named NBA D-League Performer of the Week for games played Jan. 7-13.
