  • Your chance to make D-League
    The D-League will hold its annual national tryouts June 15 in New York. The one-day event will see 200 hopefuls in full-court games in front of team executives, coaches and scouts.
  • Howard, Smith work at Development League camp
    Mad Ants guard Ron Howard and center Tommy Smith accepted invitations to the NBA Development League Elite Mini Camp, which started Monday and runs through Tuesday in Chicago.
  • Record year for D-League
    It wasn't only the Mad Ants that made 2012-13 their best season; the rest of the NBA Development League had a record-setting year, as well.

Ants win on return home

The Mad Ants returned home for the first time since Jan. 5 and claimed a 115-109 victory over the Maine Red Claws on Thursday at Memorial Coliseum.

Luke Harangody scored 29 points to lead the Ants, who played without two starters. Guard Ron Howard continued to sit out with a knee injury, and forward Anthony Richardson had the flu.

Anthony Harris had 17 assists for Fort Wayne.

The Ants (13-14) drew within 3 1/2 games of Maine (17-11) in the D-League East Division.

Former Gonzaga standout Micah Downs led the Red Claws with 24 points.
