The skinny: Villanova defeated then-No. 3 Syracuse 75-71 in overtime Saturday after beating then-No. 5 Louisville 73-62 on Jan. 22 to become the first unranked team to beat two top-five teams in the same season since Florida State in 2011-12, according to STATS LLC. … Notre Dame fell out of the Associated Press Top 25 on Monday after going 2-3 in its past five games. … The Irish lead the Big East in field goal percentage offense at .478, while the Wildcats at second in field goal percentage defense at .383.
