A newly discovered novel by the late Nobel Prize-winning author Pearl S. Buck is to be released this fall.Kid Rock says his new partnership with Harley-Davidson is a dream deal, and as the owner of multiple Harley bikes, he didn’t feel like he was compromising his integrity or risking a backlash from fans.
The Milwaukee-based motorcycle maker is sponsoring Kid Rock’s upcoming tour, named for his most recent release, “Rebel Soul.”
The partnership announced Monday also includes an exclusive line of limited-edition, co-branded “Rebel Soul” merchandise featuring a line from the song: “I can’t hear you over the rumble of my freedom.”
The tour begins Friday in Kansas City and will end Aug. 31 at Harley’s 110th anniversary celebration in Milwaukee.
Divorce sought
Rupert Sanders’ wife has filed for divorce five months after it was revealed the “Snow White and the Huntsman” director had a brief affair with actress Kristen Stewart.
Liberty Ross, Sanders’ wife of more than nine years, filed for divorce Friday in Los Angeles citing irreconcilable differences.
Ross’ filing cites irreconcilable differences for the couple’s breakup. They have two children, an 8-year-old daughter and 6-year-old son.
Author wins prize
Two-time Booker Prize winner Hilary Mantel has snagged the top honor at the Costa Book Awards for her novel “Bring Up the Bodies.”
The British writer’s blood-soaked Tudor saga, which won the Booker last year, defeated four other titles shortlisted for the $39,400 prize for 2012’s book of the year.
