TBeau makes an impact

KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- After missing eight straight games with an upper-body injury, it took only a handful of shifts for Thomas Beauregard to make his presence felt.

He intercepted a clearing attempt by the Kalamazoo Wings, and then put his own rebound into the net for a 1-0 Komets lead at Wings Stadium.

But the Wings answered on a power play -- Nick Sirota scored on a power play -- just as time was expiring in the first period.

You can tell, the Komets finally have gotten a little rest after that grueling month and a half of play. They were hitting some.

Both teams had 11 shots. And there was a fight between Tyler Butler and Alexandre Mallett.

(I'll post video of it after the game.)
