Komets defeat Kalamazoo

KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Eric Giosa had one of the prettiest goals of the season, set up by the hard work of John Dubar, as the Komets defeated Kalamazoo 2-1 in front of 1,468 fans at Wings Stadium.

Dunbar won a race to the puck, fought off a defender and took a shot. Giosa got to the rebound, spun and slipped the puck just underneath the crossbar at 14:34 of the third period.

The game had been tied since late in the first period.

Also scoring for Fort Wayne was Thomas Beauregard, who had missed eight straight games with an upper-body injury.
