Ants get needed day off

Mad Ants coach Duane Ticknor gave his team a much-needed day off Monday. They'll gather for a 1 p.m. practice Tuesday at the Concordia Seminary gym.

After playing their last nine games on the road, the Ants return to Memorial Coliseum on Thursday to play Maine.

The status of injured guard Ron Howard (knee) remains up in the air. Howard is recovering from a knee injury he suffered three minutes into the game at Bakersfield.

Fort Wayne ended its road trip with a 111-78 loss at Erie on Sunday afternoon. The team hit 31 of 83 shots and was outrebounded 41-29.
