  • 8 inches of overnight rain floods east-central Indiana
    Heavy rains that dumped more than half a foot of rain overnight triggered widespread flooding Friday in some central and northern Indiana counties.
  • 4- to 6-inch rains reported in area
    Heavy rains of 4 to more than 6 inches were reported in parts of northeast Indiana through Friday morning, the National Weather Service said.
  • Flood warning: Huntington, Wabash, Wells
    The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for parts of Huntington, Wabash and Wells counties until 11:45 a.m. Saturday, mainly in southern areas near the Salamonie and Mississinewa rivers.

Weather advisory: freezing rain possible through Monday

– A freezing rain advisory is in effect from Sunday at 6 p.m. until Monday at 3 p.m. for much of northern Indiana, southeast Michigan and northwest Ohio.

An incoming storm and warm front will result in a widespread area of participation in the form of freezing rain and sleet, according to a report issued Sunday by the National Weather Service of Northern Indiana.

Warmer temperatures are expected to switch the precipitation to all rain by Monday.

Light ice accumulations of up to a tenth of an inch are expected.
