Record set, tied at track meet

A school record was established and one was tied Saturday at the IPFW quadrangular track meet, held at the Athletics Center Fieldhouse.

Rachel Dincoff broke her own record in the shot put with a toss of 47-7 3/4. Not only did she win the event by five feet, but broke her record by almost three inches.

In the 200-meter dash, Kaylin Taylor tied her own mark with a 26.55.

The meet was scored on the basis of a multiple dual event. IPFW beat Valparaiso, 67-56, tied Butler, 56-all, lost to Detroit 81-40 and lost to Oakland 63-47.
