Women lead at half

Despite going scoreless for nine minutes in the first half, the IPFW women's basketball team owns a 22-18 halftime lead over Oakland at the Gates Center on Saturday.

The Mastodons took a 3-2 lead on Erin Murphy's three-pointer 45 seconds into the game, but IPFW went scoreless until Amanda Hyde's jumper with 10:15 left in the half. IPFW then went on a 10-0 run that put it ahead 15-12.

Point guard Haley Seibert leads IPFW with eight points, and Murphy has five.
