Head injury treated in Steuben head-on

An 18-year-old woman suffered a head injury in a crash Thursday morning in Steuben County, according to the sheriff’s department.

Alexandra Concus of rural Angola was flown to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Her condition was not available Thursday afternoon.

Concus was a passenger in a truck driven by Cody Hess, 20. The truck was heading north on County Road 200 West, just north of County Road 100 North, when it crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a southbound sport utility vehicle driven by Jennie Archbold, 37, the sheriff’s department said.

Emergency workers were called to the crash scene shortly after 7 a.m. Hess and Archbold, both of Angola, declined medical treatment as did their other passengers.

The collision remains under investigation.
