With more than 15 inches of precipitation so far this year, there’s no doubt this spring will bring out swarms of mosquitoes, experts say.All Community Harvest Food Bank Farm Wagon distributions in Allen, DeKalb and LaGrange counties are canceled today.
Food bank officials announced Thursday morning that today’s extremely cold temperatures prompted the cancellations.

Claudia Johnson, director of communications, said most people who line up for the Farm Wagon walk from their homes, and it’s too dangerous for them to wait in long lines in such cold. According to the food bank’s website, Farm Wagon deliveries are canceled for the day when the temperature at 7:30 a.m. in Fort Wayne is 10 degrees or less.
