Bulldog boys put Panthers away early

New Haven showed Snider its heels. And the Panthers never saw anything else.

The host Bulldogs buried the Panthers with a 28-9 first-quarter avalanche Tuesday, en route to a 75-60 win. V.J. Beachem scored 21 points, Jabar Ray 14 and Jordan Hogue 10 to lead New Haven. Develyn Williams led Snider with 12.

HOMESTEAD 65, WAYNE 57: At Homestead, the host Spartans outscored Wayne 21-14 in the fourth quarter to settle matters. Caleb Swanigan scored 19 points, Trevor Osborn 13 and Joe Ault 12 for Homestead. Justin Mitchell led Wayne with 19.

ANGOLA 57, HERITAGE 50: Justin Davis scored 21 points and Simon Brown 17 to lift Angola at home.

Zac Toles led Heritage with 18.

Girls

Leo 48, BISHOP DWENGER 28: At Dwenger, Taylor Seiss and Keanna Gary each scored 18 points to lead the Lions, who broke it open with a 19-5 second quarter.

SOUTH SIDE 57, HUNTINGTON NORTH 49: The Archers outscored the Vikings in every quarter but the first in Huntington. Brittni Clopton scored 14 points, Ariana Simmons 12 and Lakyn Gulley 11 for South Side.

NORTHROP 36, COLUMBIA CITY 30: Aleah Swary scored 15 points to lead the host Bruins. Northrop put it away by outscoring Columbia City 11-4 in the fourth quarter.

WOODLAN 42, BLACKHAWK CHRISTIAN 30: At Woodlan, the host Warriors outscored Blackhawk 28-13 in the second half. Lauren Ehle led Woodlan with 12 points.

EAST NOBLE 83, WEST NOBLE 53: The host Knights outscored West Noble 45-23 in the second half. Kavan Edwards and Jena Yates each scored 14 to lead East Noble.

ADAMS CENTRAL 51, BLACKFORD 38: The visiting Flying Jets outscored Blackford 44-26 across the last three quarters at Hartford City. Abby Busse scored 16 points to lead the Jets.
