Auto-theft charge follows 2-county chase

Brubaker

A Warsaw man was arrested Tuesday, accused of leading Indiana State Police on a two-county chase in a stolen pickup.

The pursuit began in the morning near the intersection of Indiana 19 and Kosciusko County Road 100 South and ended a few minutes later near Apple and 19th roads in Marshall County, state police said in a statement issued Wednesday.

It said the red 2001 Dodge pickup truck crashed and that Aaron K. Brubaker, 29, was soon found hiding in a shed.

Officers from Marshall County, Kosciusko County, Warsaw and Mentone assisted in the search.

State police said Brubaker was charged with felony resisting law enforcement, auto theft and theft.

The pickup was reported stolen to Warsaw authorities Tuesday.

Brubaker was being held in the Kosciusko County Jail. The bond amount was not immediately available.
