Remote Elton John event 'virtually booked,' Sweetwater says

The free Elton John performance that can be heard at Sweetwater Sound later this week is "virtually booked up," the company said this afternoon.

John is performing at a theater in Anaheim, Calif., but it will be streamed live on the Web, Sweetwater Sound said in a statement. It said his piano keystrokes are to be recreated note for note, in real time, on remote instruments, while an accompanying orchestra is seen and heard on adjacent monitors in real time.
