NEW YORK – Kid Rock is a scalper. The 42-year-old Grammy winner, who is launching a summer tour where most tickets are priced at $20, said he’s scalping about 1,000 tickets from each show to The free Elton John performance that can be heard at Sweetwater Sound later this week is "virtually booked up," the company said this afternoon.
John is performing at a theater in Anaheim, Calif., but it will be streamed live on the Web, Sweetwater Sound said in a statement. It said his piano keystrokes are to be recreated note for note, in real time, on remote instruments, while an accompanying orchestra is seen and heard on adjacent monitors in real time.
