Murphy warming up

IPFW junior guard Erin Murphy is on a hot streak.

After starting the season in a scoring slump, as well as on the bench, Murphy has started the last six games for the Mastodons and has more than responded.

The Seymour native has scored 20 or more points three times in her last six games. She had 21 against Western Illinois, 20 against South Dakota State and a season-high 22 against UMKC.

Junior forward Amanda Hyde continues to lead IPFW in scoring with an 18.8 per game average.

The Mastodons (6-13, 2-5 Summit League) will try to shake a three-game losing streak when they face Oakland this Saturday at the Gates Center.
