Future bright for Luers, Norwell girls

Even though it was Senior Night on Tuesday at Norwell, the future of two girls basketball programs was on full display.

Norwell, which won 75-51, honored three seniors in Taylor Wilson, Paige Frisch and Carlee Harnish. But sophomore Hanna Smith had 21 points, while junior Olivia Geiger had 10 points, and sophomores Erika Thornton and Liara Isnogle also contributed.

For Bishop Luers, which may have its run to three straight Class 2A state title games broken this year, the youth is even more pronounced. But the talent is there as well.

Luers started three freshmen - Taya Andrews, Emma Wolfe and Tashayla Sutorius. Also starting were juniors Erin and Allison Butler.

And a fourth freshman, Kayla Knapke, saw significant minutes.
