Cars damaged with fruit in suburban NYC

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. — Police in a suburban New York City town are looking for the vandals who damaged at least 17 cars with pumpkins and other fruit.

The vandalism has occurred in New Rochelle on weekends over the past several weeks.

The latest incident occurred on Sunday when nine cars were hit with pumpkins, papayas and pineapples.

Police say the damage included broken windows and mirrors.
