  • Softball season ends
    Jessica Hall gave up only three hits to IPFW and the UCLA softball team defeated the Mastodons 8-0 on Saturday to end IPFW's season at the NCAA Regional in Louisville, Ky.
  • Mastodons to regionals
    IPFW senior Theresa McHugh and freshman Rachel Dincoff have earned spots at the NCAA East Region Preliminary Championships, which begins May 23 in Greensboro, N.C.
  • Softball players honored
    IPFW junior Ashleigh Bousquet and sophomore Larissa Franklin were named to the Summit League Softball Academic All-League team, as voted on by the schools’ faculty athletics representatives and sports information directors.

6-5 player enrolled

Rashad Richardson, a 6-foot-5 swingman from Lafayette, has enrolled at IPFW and will be eligible to play with the Mastodons next season, IPFW coach Tony Jasick confirmed.

Richardson, who averaged 23.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.4 steals with Lafayette Jeff in 2011, comes to IPFW from Kiski prep school in Saltsburg, Pa. He will be eligible to practice with the team the remainder of this season, and will begin his freshman year of eligibility next season.

Richardson was named the Lafayette Journal & Courier Big School Player of the Year in 2011.
