And Another Thing

Welcome to the Harbowl

Ravens? 49ers?

I'm loathe to point out you heard it here first, but you heard it here first.

(Really, this is a historic occasion, and not just because it'll be the first time brothers have faced each other in a Super Bowl either as players or coaches. It's a historic occasion because it might be the first time something I predicted in print actually has come true. Go figure.)

Anyway ... get ready for two weeks of Harbaugh Mania, which figures to be only slightly more tolerable than two more weeks of the ongoing Ray Lewis slobberfest. I'm hoping someone, somewhere, at least attempts to contact the families of the two young men who were the victims of a murder in which Lewis either was or wasn't involved, and who, with Ray-Ray's assistance, never got justice. It's a story that needs to at least be pursued in the run-up to the big game, if for no other reason than common decency.

As to everything else ...

Well, I'm leaning Niners right now, but that could change. Really was impressed with the way the Ravens handled the Patriots tonight, and with the continuing emergence of Joe Flacco as a next-level quarterback. But indoors, on the carpet, I've got to like the Niners. For now.

And now, let's go to the home of Jack Harbaugh, patriarch of the proud Harbaugh clan, who's got a great story about the time Jimmy smeared hair remover on the inside of John's baseball caps, and his hair came out in clumps, and then John chased the little goober down the street with a golf club ...

Yikes.
