Key matchup: Murray is a transfer from LaSalle, where he averaged 15.2 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.3 blocks in 2010-11. The 6-foot-10 center is averaging 1.6 blocks this season. Hammons, Purdue’s 7-foot center, is tied for first in the Big Ten in blocks (2 per game).

The skinny: The Boilermakers have won two in a row while the Mountaineers enter on a two-game losing streak. … Purdue leads the all-time series 5-1. West Virginia won the most recent meeting in 2011.
