Flood warning extended for Saint Marys River

As the water level of the Saint Marys River continues to fall, the National Weather Service in northern Indiana has extended the flood warning.

As of 9 a.m. Friday, the river was at 17.2 feet, the weather service said. Flood stage is 17 feet.

The river is expected to fall below flood stage during the day on Friday and the flood warning will expire sometime Saturday morning, the weather service said.

As of 12:30 p.m. Friday, all Allen County highways closed due to high water had reopened, the county announced.
