Pregame primer

Well, someone was just telling me this was a must-win game for the Komets. Is there anything more cliche? It's kind of an important game, but it's so early, I don't put any more stock into this one than any other one.

The Komets (22-17-2) are taking on the Toledo Walleye (19-16-4). Fort Wayne is two points back of Cincinnati for first place in the North Division. And Cincinnati has a big game at Reading, the top team in the conference, tonight.

I have a story -- and video -- on goaltender Marco Cousineau today: Click here to see them.

The underlying storyline tonight is it's Stephon Thorne's first game against the Komets since they released him Jan. 1. He has one goal and three points in six games with the Walleye.
