Man shot to death in parked car

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — A man has been shot to death inside a parked car outside a fast food restaurant and his passenger has been seriously wounded.

The Columbus Dispatch reports that police say a man in his 20s was found shot around 4:15 p.m. Tuesday in the parking lot of a Wendy's restaurant on the city's east side. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The man's name was not released because police are still trying to identify him.

The newspaper says the passenger, 26-year-old David Hawkins, was taken to a local hospital where he underwent surgery.

Sgt. Christ Holzhauser says the gunman is believed to have fired multiple shots through the driver's-side window.
