IPFW's women's basketball team is in a pattern.
Ever since a five-game losing streak ended with a 71-59 victory over Rochester, the Mastdons have won, lost, won, lost, won and lost. They'll hope to extend it when they play South Dakota on Thursday in Vermillion, S.D., then try to win two in a row on Saturday at UMKC.
IPFW (6-11, 2-3 Summit League) came close to beating league-leader South Dakota State last week in a 66-64 loss to the Jackrabbits at the Gates Center. Stefanie Mauk and Erin Murphy had 20 points each.
South Dakota (7-10, 2-2) is tied for fourth in the conference.
