  • Your chance to make D-League
    The D-League will hold its annual national tryouts June 15 in New York. The one-day event will see 200 hopefuls in full-court games in front of team executives, coaches and scouts.
  • Howard, Smith work at Development League camp
    Mad Ants guard Ron Howard and center Tommy Smith accepted invitations to the NBA Development League Elite Mini Camp, which started Monday and runs through Tuesday in Chicago.
  • Record year for D-League
    It wasn't only the Mad Ants that made 2012-13 their best season; the rest of the NBA Development League had a record-setting year, as well.

Mad Ants win 8th straight

The Mad Ants won their eighth straight game with a 104-102 road win over the Los Angeles D-Fenders on Wednesday.

Ron Howard's layup with 1.5 seconds left was the difference.

Fort Wayne (11-10) trailed most of the second half, but outscored Los Angeles 31-24 in the fourth quarter to win.

Tony Mitchell led the Mad Ants with 29 points, Luke Harangody added 16 points and 12 rebounds, Darryl Partin 15 points, Doron Lamb 12 and Sadiel Rojas 10.

Miles Plumlee, recently sent back to the Mad Ants from the Indiana Pacers, had nine points and seven rebounds.

Howard finished with seven points.

The D-Fenders (6-11) led 33-17 after the first quarter.
