Former Notre Dame basketball star picks up honor

Former Notre Dame standout Luke Harangody was named the D-League performer of the week Monday.

The 6-foot-8, 240-pound Mad Ants forward averaged 21.3 points and 16.3 rebounds as Fort Wayne went 3-0 last week.

In the D-League Showcase in Reno, Nev., he scored a season-high 27 points and 18 rebounds in a 116-97 win over Rio Grande Valley on Wednesday, and had 18 points and 10 rebounds in a 121-115 win over Tulsa on Thursday.

Harangody had a season-high 21 rebounds and scored 19 points in a 112-84 road win over Erie on Saturday, as Fort Wayne improved to 10-10.
