Irish basketball in the polls

The Notre Dame men's basketball team slid down the Associated Press Top 25 poll, while the women's team held its spot Monday.

The Irish men (14-2, 2-1 Big East) fell three spots in the poll to No. 20 after losing to Connecticut 65-58 Saturday. The loss snapped Notre Dame's 12-game winning streak and the Irish's 17-game home winning streak.

Notre Dame plays at St. John's at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The Irish women (14-1, 3-0) remained at No. 2 in the AP poll behind No. 1 Baylor.

Notre Dame pushed its winning streak to nine games with Sunday's 71-46 win over Rutgers. The Irish play host to Georgetown at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
