Sassy is a 2 1/2-year-old spayed female white and orange calico - Domestic Short Hair cat.

I am a very sweet cat who likes to talk. Perhaps that is how I got my name? I do have a lot to say, so if you are willing to listen I am sure we could be good friends.

The staff feels I would do well with children of all ages, as long as they treat me nicely. I don’t seem to mind other cats or even cat-friendly dogs who know when to give me space when I need it!

Because Sassy's been with us for more than six months, she has a reduced adoption fee of $35 with approved application.

She is available for adoption at the Allen County SPCA, 4914 S. Hanna St. The shelter is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. For more information, call 744-0454 then choose from the following:

• Extension 200 if you found a stray cat or dog, lost your pet or wish to surrender your pet.

• Extension 205 to volunteer or donate pet food or supplies.
