2 additional apartment-complex robberies reported, police say

Total reaches 8 since Monday night

Two more apartment-complex robberies were reported Thursday night, bringing to eight the total since Monday night, Fort Wayne police said today.

At 10:12 p.m., at 8709 Gulf Drive, a woman reported being followed into an apartment building and forced into her home at gunpoint by two men. The men bound the hands of the home's residents and took several items before fleeing, including a television, wallets and cell phones. No one was injured.

At 11:33 p.m., at 7529 Cold Springs Blvd., two men armed with handguns forced their way into an apartment home and bound the hands of three occupants. They collected several items before fleeing. One of the victims freed himself from the ties and fired upon the fleeing suspects. One victim at the scene was kicked in the head, and another struck about the face.
