Mitchell honored

Tony Mitchell of the Mad Ants was today named NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played Dec. 31-Jan 6.

A 6-foot-6, 216-pound forward out of Alabama, Mitchell led the Mad Ants to back-to-back wins over the Santa Cruz Warriors, averaging 21.5 points, to go along with 7 rebounds, 3 assist and 2.5 steals.

On Jan 3, he recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and collecting 16 rebounds in a 102-86 victory over the Warriors.
