Te'o receives another honor

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o was named the winner of the Senior CLASS Award on Monday.

The award is voted on by coaches, media members and fans. It honors a senior who excels in the classroom, community, character and competition.

Te'o, who finished second in the Heisman Trophy voting, had already been named the winner of the Lott Trophy, Nagurski Trophy, Butkus Award, Lombardi Award, Bednarik Award, Maxwell Award and Walter Camp Player of the Year.

Te'o's seven major postseason awards is the most for any player in college history.
