Michigan State leads Purdue 36-30 at halftime Saturday at Breslin Center in East Lansing, Mich.

D.J. Byrd has 11 points to lead the Boilermakers. A.J. Hammons has six points. Terone and Ronnie Johnson both have five points.

Gary Harris leads Michigan State, ranked 18th nationally, with 11 points. Travis Trice and Denzel Valentine both have eight points.

Michigan State has done well in transition. The Spartans have 12 fastbreak points and 18 points in the paint.

Both teams have 22 rebounds. Purdue has turned the ball over just three times.

Rapheal Davis, of Fort Wayne, has one point and four rebounds for Purdue.

Russell Byrd, also from Fort Wayne, has one rebound and one assist for Michigan State.
