Celebrating New Year’s a little early

More than 1,000 Lake City Bank balloons were released Monday afternoon at Science Central. The 13th annual “Countdown to Noon” New Year’s celebration included activities, crafts and a countdown to the noon hour, followed by the balloon release. The family-friendly event is to help kids celebrate the new year without staying up late.
