Columbia City wins in Classic

Columbia City beat Northridge 59-48 at the Super Hoops Classic on Tuesday at Memorial Coliseum.

Derek Hinen led the Eagles (11-1) with 22 points. Derek Benedict had 11 points, while Daniel Woll added 10.

Northridge (3-6) got 12 points from Nate Ritchie.

The Eagles have played five games in five days after four games in the Carroll Shootout Dec. 28-29.

Columbia City led 29-19 at halftime before Northridge cut the margin to 51-46 in the fourth quarter.

"All in all a good effort for as many games we have played in a short amount of time," Columbia City coach Chris Benedict said.
