Favorite teacher: My fourth-grade teacher Mrs. Snyder when I attended St. Patrick’s (1964-65) in Fort Wayne.
Favorite teaching memory: Doing our “Yellow Submarine” dance (23 years and going strong)

Nomination: “Mr. Flohr is currently my son’s third-grade teacher. He is the most humble, kindhearted, supportive and helpful teacher I know. He makes sure that he keeps parents informed of their child’s progress (good and bad).I am a single parent to a young boy, and Mr. Flohr has been a really great role model for my son who just absolutely adores him.”

•Parents interested in information regarding Bishop Luers High School financial aid for the 2013-14 school year should attend an information meeting at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 9 in the library. All financial and scholarship information will be shared and all questions will be answered. This is a general meeting and financial aid applications will be available at a registration.
•Concordia Theological Seminary will present “Faith in the Halls of Power: Christianity and American Public Life” with Focus on the Family Vice President Tim Goeglein featuring Goeglein’s memoir, “The Man in the Middle: An Inside Account of Faith and Politics in the George W. Bush Era.” The lecture is noon to 1 p.m. on Jan. 14 in Loehe Hall classroom 7. Goeglein, a Fort Wayne native, will allow time for questions, answers and conversation.
