Mad Ants defeat Erie

Luke Harangody is either a good luck-of-the-Irish charm or just what the doctor ordered. Or maybe both.

The former Notre Dame stickout is now 2-0 as a Fort Wayne Mad Ant as the Ants crawled all over Erie Saturday night, 107-83, in Erie, Pa. Harangody contributed 22 points and 12 rebounds to the effort – but he hardly did it alone.

Tony Mitchell and Ron Howard each tossed in 26 points to lead the Ants (5-10), while Indiana Pacers send-down Miles Plumlee contributed 16 and 15 boards. The Ants outrebounded the Bayhawks (7-5) 51-39 and forced 19 turnovers, while racking up 20 assists to just 10 turnovers themselves.

Erieled by seven at the half, but the Ants took command by outscoring the home team 37-18 in the third quarter. All told, the Ants outscoredErie61-30 in the second half for their second straight win.
