Long time, no see

Ah, the Elmira Jackals are back in the house. Long time, no see. It's been since January 2007, to be exact.

This used to be a good, albeit strange, rivalry.

A terrific playoff series, a memorable brawl (poor Kevin Hansen) and the game in which equipment manager Joe Franke played, all against the Jackals.

Even though this used to be Anaheim's affiliate, Fort Wayne's Josh Brittain is the only one who played with the Jackals last season. Thomas Beauregard also has some recent experience with the Jackals.

Charlie Effinger, who was sick the last couple days, will be the Komets' goaltender tonight at Memorial Coliseum.
