    Jessica Hall gave up only three hits to IPFW and the UCLA softball team defeated the Mastodons 8-0 on Saturday to end IPFW's season at the NCAA Regional in Louisville, Ky.
  • Mastodons to regionals
    IPFW senior Theresa McHugh and freshman Rachel Dincoff have earned spots at the NCAA East Region Preliminary Championships, which begins May 23 in Greensboro, N.C.
  • Softball players honored
    IPFW junior Ashleigh Bousquet and sophomore Larissa Franklin were named to the Summit League Softball Academic All-League team, as voted on by the schools’ faculty athletics representatives and sports information directors.

IPFW women lose league opener

The IPFW women's basketball team couldn't hang on to a seven-point halftime lead in its Summit League opener against visiting IUPUI on Friday.

The Mastodons fell 19-74 to the Jaguars.

IUPUI 79, IPFW 74: The Mastodons couldn’t hold on to a seven-point halftime lead at home against the Jaguars in the Summit League openr for both teams.

Amanda Hyde scored 30 points for IPFW (4-9, 0-1) before fouling out, and Erin Murphy scored 17.

Katie Comello led IUPUI (7-6, 1-0) with 29 points. Former Snider standout Akilah Sims had two points and four rebounds as she made her sixth start of the season.
