  • K's fall to 5 in power rankings, get new player
The Komets have signed Brett Beebe, who was in training camp with them and has been playing with Pensacola of the Southern Professional Hockey League.
  • Things to check out
For the first time this season, the Komets aren't on top of the Eastern Conference standings. Losing three of five games will do that to a team.
  • Bad loss yields great highlights
Even though the Komets lost 3-1 to the Greenville Road Warriors -- and lost their hold on first place in the Eastern Conference for the first time this season -- I think you will enjoy the highlights in the video here.

Man, you people are negative

Look, I'm not going to say I've been all that positive about the way the Komets have been playing. But you people have been downright brutal.

And it's way too early for it.

We aren't even halfway through the season. The Komets are two games above .500. They have had a slew of injuries all season long. They are only six points out of first place in the division. The schedule has been horrific.

This is not 2010-11. That season, they were in last place ... until February. And they still made the playoffs.

I'm not saying there aren't problems. The Komets desperately need upgrades on defense and another forward.

But a little perspective is in order, I think.
