The Fort Wayne Children's Zoo has been named the "best summer gotta-do" in Indiana, the state Office of Tourism Development has announced.

Voters also selected top choices for Indiana pies, ice-cream shops, sandwiches and fall travel destinations.

The winners in other categories were:

  • Best pie: Apple pie at The Apple Works, Trafalgar;
  • Best sandwich: Bratwurst at the Schnitzelbank, Jasper;
  • Best ice-cream shop: The Chief, Goshen; and
  • Best fall foliage spot: Brown County State Park, Brown County.
