Second outlet mall planned for central Ohio

SUNBURY, Ohio (AP) — A developer says a second outlet mall complex is planned for a fast-growing area of central Ohio.

The Craig Realty Group announced this week it plans to open a 350,000-square-foot outlet center in Sunbury, north of Columbus. The complex is slated for 1,000 acres east and west of Interstate 71. Construction is expected to begin late in 2013 or in 2014.

The developer said the project will also include sports fields and indoor courts.

Last month, developers announced plans to build a Tanger factory outlet center in the same I-71 corridor north of Columbus. It's expected to be open by the Christmas holiday season next year.
