    Jessica Hall gave up only three hits to IPFW and the UCLA softball team defeated the Mastodons 8-0 on Saturday to end IPFW's season at the NCAA Regional in Louisville, Ky.

    IPFW senior Theresa McHugh and freshman Rachel Dincoff have earned spots at the NCAA East Region Preliminary Championships, which begins May 23 in Greensboro, N.C.
  • Softball players honored
    IPFW junior Ashleigh Bousquet and sophomore Larissa Franklin were named to the Summit League Softball Academic All-League team, as voted on by the schools’ faculty athletics representatives and sports information directors.

IPFW women fall to Detroit

The IPFW women's basketball team couldn't keep a fast start going as it fell 88-58 at home to Detroit on Tuesday.

The Mastodons opened a 20-11 in the first 6 1/2 minutes, but after the Titans tied the game at 20, they outscored IPFW 23-8 in the final eight minutes of the first half to take control of the game with a 43-28 halftime lead.

IPFW, which fell to the top defensive team in Michigan State on Sunday, could not contain the country's leading scorer in Detroit's Shareta Brown.

The sophomore forward scored a game-high 34 points and had nine rebounds for the Titans (6-4)..

Amanda Hyde led IPFW (3-8) with 19 points, and Haley Seibert added 15.
