IPFW warming up for Irish

It's meeting No. 4 between IPFW and Notre Dame tonight at the Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center.

Notre Dame is 3-0 against the Mastodons, with the last game being the closest -- a 65-63 IPFW win during the 2005-06 season.

The game will be on ESPNU tonight, with an interesting twist: Former Notre Dame player LaPhonso Ellis is doing the color commentary, with Mike Couzens doing the play-by-play.

Couzens, last season, was the play-by-play broadcaster for the Fort Wayne TinCaps.

Notre Dame, ranked No. 22, is 9-1, and IPFW is 5-6. The Irish have won seven straight, and IPFW has lost its last two.
