  • Softball season ends
    Jessica Hall gave up only three hits to IPFW and the UCLA softball team defeated the Mastodons 8-0 on Saturday to end IPFW's season at the NCAA Regional in Louisville, Ky.
  • Mastodons to regionals
    IPFW senior Theresa McHugh and freshman Rachel Dincoff have earned spots at the NCAA East Region Preliminary Championships, which begins May 23 in Greensboro, N.C.
  • Softball players honored
    IPFW junior Ashleigh Bousquet and sophomore Larissa Franklin were named to the Summit League Softball Academic All-League team, as voted on by the schools’ faculty athletics representatives and sports information directors.

Irish lead IPFW at half

SOUTH BEND -- Sophomore guard Pat Connaughton converted a three-point play with 4.4 seconds left in the first half to push Notre Dame's lead to 40-28 over IPFW on Monday at the Purcell Pavilion.

Connaughton leads the Irish with 11 points at the half, followed by 9 from Scott Martin.

IPFW, which has made 12 of 38 shots from the floor for a .316 percentage, is led by Mario Hines' 8 points, and 5 each from Frank Gaines and Kevin Harden.

Gaines, IPFW's leading scorer, is 2 of 12 from the floor.
